Anker positions this unit as a 9-in-1 desktop solution with 300J surge protection, making it a practical alternative to running multiple chargers and a separate power strip.
The standout charging specification is the USB-C output. The manufacturer lists USB-C1 and USB-C2 as each supporting up to 100W when used individually. That level of output may be sufficient to charge compatible USB-C laptops, tablets, and smartphones at higher power levels, though actual charging speed always depends on the connected device's input limits, the cable used, and the charging protocol negotiated. The product data does not specify which charging protocols are supported beyond the 100W USB-C figure, so buyers should not assume USB Power Delivery, PPS, or Quick Charge support without verifying with Anker directly. Importantly, the product data does not detail how output is allocated when multiple USB-C ports are in use simultaneously. Users who plan to charge several USB-C devices at once should expect that per-port output may be reduced from the 100W single-port maximum.
Build quality centers on a compact tower design measuring approximately 3.15 x 3.15 x 4.06 inches and weighing about 19.75 oz (560 g). Anker compares the weight to a full 500 ml water bottle, and the tower form factor is intended to sit stably on a desk without tipping. The black finish should blend with most office or dorm room setups. The 3 AC outlets provide flexibility for standard electronics, while the 6 USB ports (4 USB-C plus 2 USB-A) offer broad compatibility for phones, tablets, earbuds, smartwatches, and other USB-powered accessories. The overall port layout consolidates what might otherwise require multiple wall chargers and a separate surge protector into one unit.
Setup is straightforward: plug the charger into a wall outlet and connect devices via the AC outlets or USB ports. For desk use, the compact footprint means it can sit beside a monitor, on a shelf, or tucked behind a laptop stand without consuming much workspace. The tower shape may actually be easier to access than a flat power strip buried behind a desk. Cable management will depend on the user's setup, but having multiple USB ports in one location reduces the number of individual charger bricks competing for outlet space. The 8-point safety system listed by Anker is described as helping protect against overvoltage, short circuits, and other electrical risks, while the 300J surge protection rating provides a basic level of defense for connected electronics.
The most notable limitation is the lack of detailed information about multi-port output behavior. When all four USB-C ports and both USB-A ports are loaded with devices, the total available wattage per port is not specified in the product data. Users who need guaranteed high-wattage output to multiple devices simultaneously should confirm power-sharing behavior before purchasing. Additionally, with only 3 AC outlets, users who need more standard plug connections may still require a supplementary power strip. This charger is also designed for stationary desktop use and is not particularly portable for travel due to its weight and form factor.
The Anker 9-in-1 Desktop Charger is a strong fit for anyone who wants to reduce charger clutter on a desk while gaining surge protection and high-wattage USB-C output from a single compact unit. Students in dorm rooms, remote workers with multiple devices, and office users who charge a phone, tablet, earbuds, and laptop throughout the day may find the 9-port configuration especially practical. Users who primarily need a portable or travel-friendly charging solution, or who require more than 3 AC outlets, should consider a different product. The strongest reason to choose this charger is the combination of up to 100W USB-C output, 9 total connections, surge protection, and a small desktop footprint from a well-known charging accessories brand.
The Anker 9-in-1 Desktop Charger provides 9 total connections: 3 AC outlets, 4 USB-C ports, and 2 USB-A ports. USB-C1 and USB-C2 are each listed for up to 100W output when used individually, which may support compatible USB-C laptops, tablets, and smartphones at higher charging power. The remaining two USB-C ports (C3 and C4) and the two USB-A ports are included for additional device connectivity, though the product data does not specify their individual maximum output ratings.
For multi-device users, the 6 USB ports mean you can charge a phone, tablet, earbuds, smartwatch, and other USB-powered accessories simultaneously from one station. However, the product data does not clarify how total output is distributed when multiple USB ports are active at the same time. Users should expect that per-port output may be lower than the single-port maximum when several devices are connected. The 3 AC outlets handle standard electronics like monitors, desk lamps, fans, or other appliances that require a traditional plug.
Anker lists an 8-point safety system for this desktop charger, described as engineered to help protect connected devices from overvoltage, short circuits, and other electrical risks. The unit also includes 300J surge protection, which provides a basic level of defense against power surges for plugged-in electronics. These are manufacturer-listed features and should be understood as protective measures rather than guarantees against all electrical hazards.
For users who keep expensive electronics like laptops, monitors, or tablets connected to a power strip throughout the day, surge protection adds a practical layer of security. The 300J rating is on the lower end of the surge protection spectrum, so users in areas with frequent power fluctuations or who need heavy-duty surge protection for sensitive equipment may want to verify whether this rating meets their needs. No specific safety certifications such as UL or ETL are listed in the available product data.
This Anker desktop charger weighs approximately 19.75 oz (560 g) and measures roughly 3.15 x 3.15 x 4.06 inches. The compact tower design is intended for stable desktop use rather than portable travel. While it is lighter than many traditional power strips, it is not designed to be a travel charger or portable power solution. Its primary value is reducing desk clutter and consolidating multiple chargers into one stationary unit.
For users who need a portable multi-port charger for travel or commuting, a dedicated GaN wall charger or compact travel adapter would be a more practical choice. The Anker 9-in-1 Desktop Charger is best used as a permanent fixture on a desk, nightstand, or workstation where it can serve as a central charging hub for daily device needs.
Pros
- 150W pogo pin output enables very fast recharging of compatible Anker Prime Power Banks, with the manufacturer estimating 50% charge in about 21 minutes for a 26,250mAh unit
- Pass-through charging lets you keep devices powered through the base while the power bank itself recharges
- Four simultaneous charging outputs (two USB-C, one USB-A, and one pogo pin) reduce the need for multiple chargers on a desk
- Very compact base at roughly 4 x 4 x 1 inches, making it easy to place on a desk or nightstand
- 24-month warranty and included power cord provide a complete out-of-box setup
Cons
- Only compatible with Anker Prime Power Banks that have pogo pin connectors, limiting the base's usefulness if you own other power bank brands or models
- When all four outputs are in use simultaneously, total output is listed at up to 150W, meaning individual port speeds may be reduced compared to single-device use
- At this price point, it's a premium accessory that only makes sense for existing or planned Anker Prime power bank owners
The Anker Prime Charging Base (150W, 3 Ports) is a dedicated desktop charging station built specifically for Anker Prime Power Banks equipped with pogo pin connectors. This is not a standalone power bank or a universal charger - it is a proprietary accessory designed to serve as a rapid-recharge dock for a specific line of Anker power banks while also functioning as a multi-device charging hub. The product best suits Anker Prime power bank owners who want a fast, convenient way to recharge their battery pack at home or in the office, and who also want to consolidate their device charging into a single compact station.
The charging base's headline capability is its 150W pogo pin output, which the manufacturer states can recharge a 26,250mAh Anker Prime Power Bank to 50% in approximately 21 minutes. That figure is based on Anker's internal lab testing, and actual recharge speeds may vary depending on conditions. Beyond the pogo pin connection, the base includes three wired ports: a USB-C1 port rated for up to 140W, a USB-C2 port rated for up to 100W, and a USB-A port rated for up to 22.5W. The base supports charging up to four devices at once, but Anker notes that total output when all four outputs are active is up to 150W. This means that per-port output will be reduced during simultaneous multi-device charging compared to what each port can deliver individually. Pass-through charging is explicitly supported, allowing devices connected through the base's ports to continue receiving power while an Anker Prime Power Bank recharges on the pogo pin dock.
Physically, the charging base measures 4.09 x 4.09 x 0.98 inches, making it a compact square that sits flat on a desk, nightstand, or shelf. The low-profile design keeps it unobtrusive in a workspace. The base features dynamic lighting effects that activate when a compatible Prime Power Bank is placed on it, providing a visual confirmation that recharging has begun. A power cord is included in the box, so no separate cable purchase is needed to get started. The black color and minimal footprint should blend into most desk setups without drawing excessive attention.
Setup is straightforward: plug in the included power cord, place a compatible Anker Prime Power Bank with pogo pin on the base, and charging begins automatically with the visual lighting effect. The three additional ports are available for plugging in phones, tablets, earbuds, or other USB-C and USB-A devices. For users who charge multiple devices overnight or during a workday, the base consolidates what might otherwise require two or three separate chargers. The pass-through feature is particularly useful if you want to keep a phone or tablet topped off while simultaneously recharging your power bank before a trip or commute.
The most significant limitation of the Anker Prime Charging Base is its narrow compatibility. The pogo pin dock only works with Anker Prime Power Banks that feature the matching pogo pin connector. If you own a different brand of power bank, a different Anker series, or an Anker Prime model without pogo pins, the dock's primary function is unavailable to you - you would only have access to the three standard USB ports, which can be found on many other multi-port chargers. Additionally, when all four outputs are active simultaneously, the 150W total output cap means that high-wattage devices connected to the USB-C ports will receive less power than their individual port maximums suggest. Users who need sustained high-wattage output on multiple ports at the same time should account for this shared power allocation.
The Anker Prime Charging Base is a strong buy for anyone who already owns or plans to purchase an Anker Prime Power Bank with pogo pin support and wants the fastest possible recharging combined with a tidy multi-device charging station. The 150W pogo pin recharge speed and pass-through charging capability make it a practical desk or nightstand accessory for commuters, business travelers, and multi-device users who rely on their Anker Prime power bank daily. Users who do not own a compatible Anker Prime Power Bank, or who primarily need a general-purpose multi-port charger, would likely find better value in a standalone multi-port USB-C charger that is not tied to a specific power bank ecosystem.
The Anker Prime Charging Base supports up to four simultaneous charging outputs: a 140W max USB-C1 port, a 100W max USB-C2 port, a 22.5W max USB-A port, and the 150W max pogo pin output for compatible Anker Prime Power Banks. These individual port maximums represent single-device peak output, not what each port delivers when all four are in use at the same time. Anker specifies that total combined output when charging four devices together is up to 150W, so power is shared and allocated across active connections.
For practical multi-device use, this means you could recharge your Anker Prime Power Bank on the pogo pin dock while simultaneously charging a smartphone on USB-C1 and earbuds on the USB-A port, but each device may receive less power than if it were the only device connected. Users who need maximum charging speed on a single USB-C device should consider using the base with fewer simultaneous connections. The pass-through feature adds flexibility by allowing devices plugged into the base's ports to remain powered even while the power bank is actively recharging.
The pogo pin dock on this charging base is designed exclusively for Anker Prime Power Banks with matching pogo pin connectors. The manufacturer does not list compatibility with other Anker power bank lines or third-party power banks for the pogo pin recharging function. Before purchasing, verify that your specific Anker Prime Power Bank model supports pogo pin charging to ensure full functionality.
The three standard ports - two USB-C and one USB-A - can be used independently of the pogo pin dock to charge compatible USB-C and USB-A devices such as smartphones, tablets, and earbuds. Setup requires only plugging in the included power cord. No additional wall charger or adapter purchase is needed. The 24-month warranty from Anker covers the charging base, and customer service is available for troubleshooting or support questions.
At 4.09 x 4.09 x 0.98 inches, the Anker Prime Charging Base is compact enough to fit on a crowded desk, nightstand, or shelf without occupying much space. The roughly one-inch height keeps the profile low, and the square footprint is smaller than many multi-port charging stations. The black finish is neutral and should blend into most home-office or bedroom environments.
While the base is small, it is designed as a stationary desktop accessory rather than a travel charger. It requires a wall outlet via the included power cord, so it is best suited for a fixed location where you regularly recharge your Anker Prime Power Bank and devices. The dynamic lighting effects that activate during pogo pin charging add a visual element that confirms charging status at a glance, which can be useful when placing the power bank down before bed or before heading out.

The Anker Prime 65W Power Bank is a 2-in-1 hybrid portable charger and AC wall adapter designed to simplify mobile charging for commuters, business travelers, students, and multi-device users. By integrating a foldable AC wall plug directly into a 9,600mAh battery pack, this unit functions both as an off-grid power source and as a standalone wall charger. This hybrid form factor eliminates the need to carry a separate charging brick on daily commutes or short trips, making it an appealing option for tech users looking to consolidate their everyday carry gear.
In terms of charging performance, this battery pack delivers up to 65W of output when charging a single device through either compatible USB-C port. When utilizing both USB-C ports at the same time, the unit dynamically divides power, providing up to 45W via the USB-C1 port and up to 20W via the USB-C2 port. This configuration allows users to charge a primary high-draw USB-C device alongside a smartphone or accessory, though actual delivered wattage remains dependent on the power requirements and input limits of each connected device. The manufacturer also includes a braided 100W USB-C to USB-C cable in the box, ensuring that cable transmission capacity matches the unit's maximum charging potential.
Physically, the power bank measures 4.53 by 1.65 by 1.71 inches and weighs approximately 0.67 pounds (10.76 ounces), wrapped in a sleek black housing. A standout physical design element is the 1.3-inch smart LCD screen positioned on the front casing, which displays live power readings and remaining battery levels in real time. Rather than relying on simple blinking LED indicator dots, this clear digital readout shows active wattage output so users can immediately monitor charging performance. The integrated AC prongs fold neatly into the body when not in use, helping protect surrounding items inside a travel pouch or backpack pocket.
Using and maintaining the charger is straightforward whether working from a desk, airport terminal, or hotel room. Recharging the internal 9,600mAh battery can be accomplished directly by unfolding the built-in AC plug and inserting the unit into a standard wall outlet. For commuters and airline travelers, the self-contained design minimizes cable clutter and ensures the battery pack can be refreshed anywhere an electrical socket is accessible. Travelers should check current airline lithium-battery regulations prior to flight travel, as portable power banks must typically be stowed in carry-on baggage rather than checked luggage.
There are several practical considerations to evaluate before buying this hybrid charging device. Because the maximum 65W single-port output drops to a 45W and 20W distribution during dual-port use, connecting a second device will lower charging speeds on the primary port. Additionally, the unit features exclusively USB-C ports, meaning users with legacy USB-A cords will need to supply their own USB-C adapters or updated cables. At 10.76 ounces and over an inch and a half thick, it also presents a noticeable blocky profile that may feel heavy in shallow clothing pockets compared to standard flat pocket batteries.
For mobile professionals, college students, and frequent flyers seeking an all-in-one charging solution that combines wall-adapter versatility with portable battery backup, the Anker Prime 65W Power Bank offers strong practical value. The combination of 65W peak single-port output, dual USB-C convenience, a real-time smart display, and a bundled 100W braided cable justifies the investment for users who prioritize convenience. Shoppers who only need a lightweight phone top-up pack or those requiring maximum 65W speed across multiple devices simultaneously may be better served by dedicated multi-port desktop bricks or higher-capacity battery stations.
The Anker Prime 65W Power Bank features a flexible power distribution system across its two USB-C ports. When powering a single device, the unit can output up to 65W, supplying adequate power for compatible high-draw USB-C devices, tablets, or phones. When two devices are connected simultaneously, the charger automatically reallocates power, providing up to 45W from USB-C1 and up to 20W from USB-C2.
Actual charging wattage varies depending on the battery state, thermal conditions, and charging specifications of the connected device. To ensure the hardware operates at full single-port potential, Anker includes a high-capacity 100W braided USB-C to USB-C cable in the box. Users should note that nominal battery capacity of 9,600mAh represents internal cell energy and does not equal guaranteed delivered charge due to standard voltage conversion losses during operation.
Equipped with a built-in 1.3-inch smart LCD display, this portable charger provides detailed status monitoring directly on the casing. The digital screen replaces traditional four-dot LED lights with real-time numerical readings of the remaining battery percentage and active output wattage. This visual feedback allows users to verify whether connected hardware is drawing power efficiently.
Operating the device is designed for convenience on the go, utilizing an integrated AC wall plug that folds flush into the housing when stored. When plugged into a wall receptacle, the unit serves as an AC wall charger while also managing its internal battery. The included travel pouch protects the finish from scratches when carried alongside laptops, tablets, or other everyday gear inside a travel bag.
Frequently Asked Questions
What makes an Anker power bank docking station different from a regular power bank?
A docking station setup pairs a portable power bank with a dedicated charging base, so the battery recharges automatically when you set it down. The Anker Prime Power Bank, 20,100mAh 3-Port Battery ships with a 150W charging base that uses a pogo-pin connection, and together they offer up to six charging ports (three on the power bank, three on the base). A standard power bank requires you to plug in a cable each time. The docking approach simplifies the routine: drop the bank on the base, and it starts recharging at up to 100W, reaching 50% in about 27 minutes according to the manufacturer.
Can these Anker Prime power banks charge a laptop?
Yes, several models list USB-C output wattages high enough for many USB-C laptops. The Anker Prime Power Bank, 26,250mAh 300W lists up to 140W max output on a single USB-C port when used with a 5A cable, and the manufacturer states it can power a MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) to 50% in 27 minutes. The Anker Prime Power Bank, 27,650mAh 3-Port 250W also lists 140W single-port output. But actual laptop compatibility depends on the laptop’s own USB-C charging requirements, the cable rating, and whether the power bank’s protocol matches. USB-C alone does not guarantee laptop charging – the output wattage and protocol both need to align with your specific laptop.
Are these power banks allowed on airplanes?
The Wh (watt-hour) rating is what matters for airline battery rules, not mAh by itself. The Anker Prime 26,250mAh model lists 99.75Wh, and the 27,650mAh model lists 99.54Wh. Both fall under the commonly referenced 100Wh threshold. Anker describes these as TSA-approved, but individual airlines may apply their own policies. Always confirm with your specific carrier before flying. Power banks should be carried in your carry-on bag, not checked luggage.
Does the Qi2.2 wireless charging station work with non-Apple devices?
The Anker Prime 3-in-1 Qi2.2 MagSafe Compatible 25W is built around the Qi2.2 standard at 25W, and it’s listed as MagSafe compatible. Qi2 is backward compatible with Qi, so Qi-enabled Android phones may charge on it, but likely at lower wattages. The 25W speed and magnetic alignment are designed primarily for compatible iPhones. The three charging spots handle an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods simultaneously. If you’re an Android user, check whether your phone supports Qi2 before expecting the full 25W speed.
How fast can the Anker Prime power banks recharge themselves?
Recharge speed varies by model and input method. The 26,250mAh 300W model supports 250W dual USB-C input, which the manufacturer says can reach 50% in just 13 minutes. The 27,650mAh 250W model lists a full recharge in 37 minutes using 170W total input from dual chargers. The 20,100mAh model with the included charging base reaches 50% in 27 minutes via 100W input. These are manufacturer-stated figures, and actual times may vary based on the wall charger used, cable rating, ambient temperature, and battery state. A higher-wattage charger is typically needed to hit these speeds, and the required charger may not always be included. If you also want options with smaller, more affordable Anker power banks, those recharge faster simply because of lower capacity.
Does output wattage drop when charging multiple devices at the same time?
Yes, multi-port output is typically shared, not additive. The Anker Prime Power Bank, 9,6000mAh 65W delivers 65W max on a single port, but when both USB-C ports are active, output splits to 45W and 20W. The Anker Charging Base for Prime Power Banks lists a total output of up to 150W when charging four devices together. The listed maximum output for any single port is the best-case figure with only that port in use. Always check the manufacturer’s multi-port allocation details to understand what each device actually receives during simultaneous charging.
What’s the difference between the Anker Prime Charging Station and the Charging Base?
The Anker Prime Charging Station is a standalone 250W desktop charger with four USB-C and two USB-A ports, a 2.26-inch LCD display, and a smart control dial. It plugs into a wall outlet and charges devices directly. It does not dock a power bank. The Anker Charging Base for Prime Power Banks is specifically designed to recharge Anker Prime power banks via a pogo-pin connection while also offering pass-through charging to other devices through its own USB-C and USB-A ports. The charging station is a pure desktop charger; the charging base is a power bank dock with extra ports.
